Selecta Magnun Ice Cream became a craze when it came out the market even if it is much expensive compared to other ice creams. I have heard that some supermarkets and grocery stores ran out of supply.
The funny thing is, people, I mean, "many" people post their pictures on facebook with that magnum with them. I can't see the point over there! Is it because expensive? Urgh!!! Well, I commend the marketing power of the company who made that ice cream. They have made the people crazy, kudos :p
I have always been curious about that but I was not as eccentric as "them" who have gone crazy to buy it and post it in facebook, lols!
Well, I was able to taste that, I think about more than a year after it was released in the Philippines. Now, grocery stores have a lot of them, the supply is not running out anymore because those crazy curious magnum-facebook posters have stopped doing the crap, urghh!
I was able to taste it at the Cape Bojeador Lighthouse, in Burgos, Ilocos Norte when one of my tourist-clients bought one for me upon the encouragement of the ice cream vendor that i have to pick the magnum.
So yeah, first time to eat magnum ice cream, it was October 20, 2012.

ReplyDeleteThe Facebook game, Sims Social, promotes it. that is the only time i have heard about it. i dont see too much about it on my facebook page. maybe these people on facebook who are promoting it are getting paid by someone to market it on facebook to their friends.

Yes, it tastes good but I can't see any point to be crazy about it because there are also other cheaper ice creams there which is as good (or even better) as the Magnum. Well, that is my own assessment :)
