"Beyond the heaven scent experience of eating here, is the relaxation that penetrates the soul happening in a countryside chill. Everything was very rural, traditional and could it be cultural, since the way the food cooked can be linked to culture."

It is located in an open space along the long and winding National Highway but believe me, you can have a private dining here. Yes, it might be located along the road but what makes it private for people with hungry tummy is that it is isolated.

This is a style of eating that can be regarded as very Filipino in manner. Food cooked in this restaurant is wrapped with leaves.

If you're wondering if those leaves wrapped are edible, it is not. They just wrap it at the food because according to the cook, it enhances the taste.

Salivary glands are activated that instant. Mouthwatering seafood allures your soul as it is placed on the table. The "dilis," were aligned randomly in a very good manner offering a mouthwatering presentation. Very traditional and countryside in setting, the present set up adds to the excitement.

The leaves wrapped, specifically Banana leaves, which is very abundant in this town of Calauag in Quezon province, is what makes those menu with twists.

While opening the wrapped food, the smell goes out gently and touching the smell receptors in your nose that invites you to enjoy the food.

As the cool gentle breeze in the place touches your face with a message of relaxation, the feeling is simply divine! The location is situated at the middle of nowhere. It is nowhere because the only structure seen in that location is the restaurant called Kainan sa Dahon.

Nestled amidst the plains of Calauag, Quezon along the long Maharlika Highway, the restaurant is the only concrete structure that can be seen by your naked eyes while you are inside the restaurant. It is very close to nature.

There is no stress at all. The surrounding is composed of wide plains with green grasses and an endless plantation of copra.

Beyond the heaven scent experience of eating here, is the relaxation that penetrates the soul happening in a countryside chill. Everything was very rural, traditional and could it be cultural, since the way the food cooked can be linked to culture.

Another thing filled with awesome surprise is the plate. It is a woven stems of vine then another banana leaf has been placed so cheerfully to blend with the location.

Kainan sa Dahon never stopped amazing me. In spite of all the new offers, gimmicks and tricks in the urban scenario to attract customers, they can hardly level the experience one should enjoy in Kainan sa Dahon where everything is at the countryside, a thing you will never try in the cities, and never you can try it. This restaurant speaks of itself.
